The last time Kristina was here, the bridge had been destroyed. Now it is rebuilt.
In spite of the still-evident destruction, it's a beautiful city, with historical buildings, river vistas, and mosques everywhere you look.

Our last day in Mostar coincided with the anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre
Walking back to the car with our stand-up paddle boards. Not much flat water in Mostar.
During our drive south, we were able to visit the waterfront Kristina had visited years ago for Camp Rio.
After a long swim in the warm bay, it was time for dinner at a beach-side grill
And then back in the car to head further south to Dubrovnik!
At last we arrived, and even at night it was beautiful. This was a 30-second exposure. Check out the long line made by a motorcycle on the far side of the bay!

The center of Dubrovnik is closed to cars, so we hiked up and down near the city walls
Our next stop was Slovenia. And, of course, another visit to the beach.
Elizabeth watched the kids so we could head for a date night in Piran. Thank you!
The next day, we traveled to Pula to see the Roman colosseum there, and then on to Rovinj.
Rovinj was spectacular, and we departed with a desire to go back again someday.
