This summer we have had my cousin's daughter, Elizabeth, staying with us. And it has been so great! Earlier this month, the seven of us embarked on a roadtrip to Croatia and Bosnia. But before we got to those southern climes, first stop, Salzberg:

We visited the Berchtesgaden Salzbergwerk, and went deep under the mountains on a small train, boat, and via long wooden slides underground.
At last it was time to head south. We drove through heavy rain over the alps, through Slovenia, and into Croatia. Late in the day, we arrived at our campsite near Trogir.
The town nearby, about 20 minutes from the campsite, was built by the Greeks in 300BC.
