etc.

So today I'm in the mood to post some kind of random stuff (and I'm procrastinating... putting off putting away my Costco scores), so here goes:
  • My sis just finished up her time as director of a mental health clinic so she can stay home with her adorable little boy, Gavin. She did so much for the women there, and finished w/ a bang; she and her staff and clients made a beautiful "blooming garden" out of an empty graffitied and trash-strewn lot. It's beautiful! Check it out here.  I'm so proud of you, Stacy!
  • Hans' beloved Little Doggie went missing yesterday, and after our earnest search party (Daddy, Mommy, Gramma) looked everywhere we could, Trey finally asked Hans, "Where'd you put Little Doggie?" Hans finally confessed, "I threw him over the fence, Daddy." Trey had him take him to the spot, and Hans said, "I threw him over that fence, Daddy." "Over Roger's fence?" "Yes, Daddy." "With Roger's dog Charlie?!?" Needless to say, Hans wailed when he realized that it may not be so easy to retrieve Little Doggie if Charlie decided he wanted to play with Little Doggie! So Roger and his family have joined the search party, but still no Doggie. We tell Hans that maybe Doggie ran away like Harry the Dirty Dog, and I hope that if Doggie does turn up he'll be pretty easy to clean up, but I'm not so sure! How is it that I've gotten nearly as attached to Little Doggie as Hans!?
  • Meanwhile, Annika has added to her repertoire of signs and babbles a pretty darn good dog bark! She's got a few words now: mama, dada (DA!), buabua (brother), wawa (she loves playing in it!), and now a little woof! So cute! She also loves to sign for birds when she sees them. Oh, and she's toddling all over the place!

  2. Actually, Hans seems to be 'dealing' quite well, for the most part, but love for little doggie isn't likely to just go away eiither!
