Our baby girl is getting so big!
Today we celebrated with a small back-yard luau with friends and family.
And "Ma!" as she would say.
She's so snuggly; I just love to squeeze her!
She and Daddy love to laugh, and nobody can get her giggling like "Da" (Daddy)
This party was so girly (especially after Hans' crazy messy party).
Such a pink cake!
Flowers from Grampa, bought on our bike-ride to farmer's market (and carried home on the handlebars!) (good job, dad!;)
At first Annika wasn't so sure about the cake, but everybody else was enjoying it so much, she had to get into it, too!
Hans was more than happy to help out!
She go the idea in no time!
Such the girl. She cracks us up, because she always wants to have a flower. Her favorite are these plumeria blossoms. You can see the tree from the table where we eat most of our meals, and nearly every meal she convinces one of us (through grunts and pointing and signing) that she really needs a flower for her ear (she usually points at the tree and then pats her ear where the flower should be). If we're a little too slow to figure out here insistent hand motions and cries, Hans will usually offer a suggestion, like "mimby she wants a flower." He's usually right, and is happy to get her one off the ground!
Hans is such a great brother!
After all that cake, Annika was ready for a bath!
And she is ready to take another year by storm!

ReplyDeleteI have to say (I've looked at it a few times now) that Annika looks so incredibly adorable in that first picture! Kristina - did you make her dress and that whimsical cake? Your parties looked so beautifully planned out!
