I just discovered (and used and highly recommend!) a safe, non-toxic way to get rid of the weeds and grass, etc., etc. etc. that grow like crazy here (in our case right up between the pavers on our patio and even through what looks like the foundation and the cracks in our walls...so glad to be renting!)
To kill the weeds, I boiled some huge pots of water, poured it on the patio, let it seep between the cracks, and a few days later, they're dried up like we're right back in a So. California summer! And Annika can crawl and eat off them all she wants, no worries! Ah, the things that make me happy!
